Mondriaan Tower

The 31 floor Mondriaan Tower, covering 32,800 m², is a well known icon in the Amsterdam skyline. Every day, large numbers of people pass through the building, making the entrance an important place of arrival and connection.

On behalf of the building owner, we redeveloped the public areas of the tower over the past few months. The result is a warm and inviting entrance that goes beyond a traditional reception area. With space for a reception desk, comfortable seating areas, abundant greenery and an extensive coffee and lunch bar, the entrance brings people from all parts of the building together. The concept was developed in collaboration with Void Interior Architecture.

In realising the entrance hall, all facilities were integrated in a natural and cohesive way. Rounded planters flow seamlessly into the reception desk, bar and locker wall, behind which the security desk is positioned. The rear wall of this custom made furniture features a hand painted finish, adding to the warm and distinctive character of the space.
